The Subject and its Instances:
Subject: A subject in English sentences is the doer of any action. E.g. The dog.
For Instance:
- The dog chased its tail.
- The dog barked at the mailman.
- The dog snuggled up next to me on the couch.
Predicate:
The part of a sentence that states something about the subject, often includes a verb.
For Instannce:
- The dog snuggled up next to me on the couch. (verb: snuggled)
- The dog is a Labrador Retriever. (verb: is)
- The dog has been trained to fetch. (verb: has been trained)
- The dog will be going for a walk later. (verb: will be going)
